Buildrite Awarded Best Downtown Interior Renovation

We’re happy to announce that last month Buildrite received an award for Best Downtown Interior Renovation for the town of Statesboro, Georgia! Last year, we built out an office space for Edward Jones on South Main Street in Statesboro. Although it wasn’t our first Edward Jones location, this project certainly stands out. We have a good relationship with Cushman & Wakefield -- the construction management firm that hired us for this renovation. They represent all of the Edward Jones branches across the country, and we’ve handled many of them throughout the Southeast. Each project for them tends to be unique -- be it an office building, a freestanding house or a historic structure. The Statesboro location was no exception. [Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="8" gal_title="Statesboro Award"] The space, located in heart of Downtown Statesboro, was previously an old jeweler. The building itself was very old, as it was located in the historic district, so from the start we faced some challenges. For example, we had to remove a lot of shelving from the exterior walls so that we could install drywall. Once we pulled it all out we discovered exposed brick behind it. When the manager saw it, he immediately wanted to preserve it. So, we changed our renovation plans in order to allow our client to enjoy those beautiful brick walls. Our favorite part of this project (as is most often the case!) was the final result. We went into a space and completely restructured it; it looks 100% different than the day we first walked in. We’re very proud to have restored the wonderful old features of this building, but in a fresh way. We managed to maintain its historic presence, while bringing in new business. And, of course, we’re proud to have received this award from the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority. [blue-quote]
