Atlanta Building Spotlight: The Swan House
Many beautiful buildings in Atlanta are well-known, but only a select few of them are movie stars, too! This month’s Atlanta Building Spotlight focuses on the stunning Swan House in Buckhead, Georgia.
Completed in 1928, the Swan House was originally the home of the Inman family and gained its name from the swan designs found around the property. After the Inman family’s departure, the house was procured by the Atlanta History Center in 1966 and is now open to the public.
The building now serves as a historical house museum. It has also lended itself to the entertainment industry being seen in multiple filming projects over the years. Most recently and most famously, the Swan House was heavily featured in both The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay Part 2 films as villainous President Snow’s home.
